The Hideout Fundraiser!!

Im excited to be playing a couple of sets in conjunction with Shawn Brady at the Hideout! We are playing for a fundraiser looking to raise money for three amazing charities and to support the teams running from Toronto to Montreal… here is more info from the organizer:

MISSION
On Novmber 7th I am super excited to say we are doing this again! We are RUNNING unsupported from Toronto to Montreal. We will depart from Nathan Phillips Square at 9pm and 50+ hours later we will arrive on top of Montreal - Mount Royal overlooking the city. And this year we have added teams - and we still have room for another....
This 660km endeavour will be tackeled for the challenge, accomplishment, and sense of running community but also to benefit 3 very special charities ( more on those below)

FUNDRAISER
Supporting this Ultra Relay - we are again hosting a community fundraiser at The Hideout for 3 local charities which mean a great deal to us. On WEDNESDAY October 17th from 7:30pm to 12:00am please join us to fundraise for our charities and celebrate our commitment to this incredible opportunity. We will be finishing the toughest part of the training program and as it gets darker and harder. It will be a wonderful time to bring the running communities together. We will appreciate the BOOST!!

Come for live music by Shawn Brady and Don Campbell and enjoy a silent auction (supporting the teams), along with food and beer included with your ticket. Also, it is the anniversary of Gord Downie's passing, and he died of the same exact disease as Colin Buchanan, my friend and the inspiration for this ultra relay.

Tickets are $25.00 and can be purchased from the link here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/runtomtl-fundraiser-tickets-50358857699 - or from any of us, or at the DOOR.

CHARITIES:
Kensington Health is a special place to us as our teammate and friend Colin Buchanan spent his final days there September 2016. President and CEO of Kensington Health, John Yip, is a RUNWAY member and will be joining us October 17.

Start2Finish helps kids in need learn to read and run. We hope our efforts will help our friends teammates, Quinton Jacobs and Paul Huyer, Start2Finish leaders, to provide these kids with shoes from Saucony! AND, Quinton Jacobs, is the captain of one of the teams!! Both are joining us October 17

Good Foot Delivery is a foot courier service that provides job opportunities to people with disabilities. Mike Anderson, co-owner of BlackToe Running, is a dedicated supporter of Good Foot Delivery and will also be joining us October 17.
